Students in Marcia Eames-Sheavly's Art of Horticulture class created a new sod sculpture September 16 at the Department of Horticulture's Bluegrass Lane Turf and Landscape Research Center, adjacent to the Robert Trent Jones Golf Course.
The surrealistic work is visible to golfers striding down the 8th fairway. In fact one drove over in his golf cart for a closer look at the construction.
The work joins a spiral mound created by Art of Horticulture students in fall 2007 in the growing sculpture garden. (Photo gallery and Cornell Chronicle article about last year's installation.)
