This course will increase your enjoyment and success making new plants through:
- Seeds
- Cuttings
- Layering
- Division
- Grafting
- Micropropagation
Plant Propagation goes well beyond the basics to deliver both the art and science of plant propagation.
Participants will examine in-depth the biology, anatomy, history, and use of these propagation techniques.
We send students a complete kit for home propagation, including propagating flats, seed, and live cuttings.
The course takes place entirely online. There are no face-to-face classes. You can log in at your convenience any time, and there are no set times or days of the week to participate.
Most students spend between 2 and 6 hours per week on the course. In addition to readings, there are short video clips, quizzes, discussion boards, and hands-on activities using the kit of materials we send.
We expect only basic computer competence. There are no technical gadgets in our courses. We are gardeners at heart, not computer whizzes.
