Rob Scott

Rob Scott is interested in sustainable food production and horticulture education in urban and under-served communities. For several years he directed a non-profit for sustainability and horticulture education in Urbana, Illinois. He received a Masters degree in Environmental Science in 2006 and a PhD in Educational Policy Studies in 2011. He taught college courses focused on sustainability and horticulture in a Midwest prison from 2011 to 2013.

Since 2013, Rob is Executive Director of the Cornell Prison Education Program at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. Under Rob's leadership, the program has grown to operate in four prisons, serve over 200 incarcerated students and contribute to the formation of state and national coalitions for higher education in prison.

Rob has also taught courses on education/pedagogy, and has published on topics including agroforestry, systems theory, and education
